QTS aims to help its clients find the best solution for their business and consequently add value, as it sees each project as a challenge to overcome.

By providing an integrated service from search to finished product, QTS offers a wide range of services:

  • Search and qualification of the best suppliers for the production processes.
  • Project follow-up.
  • Sorting upon reception of components.
  • Assembly (if it is a set).
  • Storage, packaging, and shipping.

This is how the QTS service makes it possible to concentrate all efforts on a single partner, guaranteeing the safety of the entire process.

Even for projects that require sorting procedures, QTS offers its own sorting service, which can be carried out in two ways:

  • In-house projects that require the manufacture of the part, whether metallic or plastic, with subsequent 100 per cent sorting.
  • Or it could be a service provided to the client by itself, with parts already manufactured by the client.

In either option, the sorting can be made manually or automatically, depending on the complexity of the part and the number of parts to be controlled.

MANUAL SORTING

This type of sorting involves highly qualified QTS professionals who visually analyse the appearance of the part, as well as its geometry (dimensions, tolerance, and shape).

It should be noted that this analysis is always carried out by analysing the control range of the part, where all the technical requirements of the part are described.

Thus, in addition to the visual check part by part, measuring instruments (such as callipers), gauges and even laboratory tests can be carried out.

In this context, the parts are physically separated into compliant and non-compliant, with a report at the end describing the defects found and the percentage of each.

AUTOMATIC SORTING

Whether it's the complexity of the part or the size of the batch, we can use 100% automatic sorting.

For this purpose, QTS has a range of equipment, including the following:

  • Artificial vision machines. Using vision systems, these machines can control the geometry and surface finish of the part.
  • Laser-controlled machines (Mectron). By allowing 360° inspection, this machine allows the part to be inspected at multiple points. In this case, only the dimensional characteristics of the part are assessed.
  • Automatic Eddy current control. In this case, a magnetic field is created through which the part will pass. This control is carried out by comparing a non-conforming part with a conforming part. In other words, the machine is parameterised using one non-conforming and one conforming part, allowing it to analyse surface defects and hardness and thus automatically separating the non-conforming parts.
  • Torque control. The Bimac machine controls the geometry of the screws using a vision camera. It is also possible to control the torque by mechanical control.
